Writing to Surrey County Council raising my concerns about their decision to withdraw the school bus service

Parents with children at Esher High School have contacted me about Surrey County Council’s decision to withdraw their school bus service. The proposed ‘safe walking route’ would be an 80 minute trip across isolated heathland.

I have written to the Surrey County Council voicing my concerns about pupil safety and the effect on attendance and student recruitment. I have urged them to reconsider their decision.
