Surrey headteachers wrote to me late last year expressing their deep concerns about how Surrey was failing children with Special Educational Needs.

I have taken this up with the Schools Minister and Minister for Education and have been granted meetings with them both.

I also rose this with the Leader of Surrey County Council asking him to take action.
